Room 17 News Update

Hi Readers

We are The Room 17 Press: Steven, Sienna and Shania and we are going to share about what has been happening in our class so far this term.

In Maths, we have learned positive and negative integers, angles, Roman Numerals, Cartesian plane coordinates, composite and prime numbers. We have also been taking notes of different maths situations in our math books, e.g.: division rules, factors and multiples, squared numbers and triangular numbers, so we can review the information in the future.

For our science lesson we have gone and looked up different types of emergency warning systems for information and use it for a project with our groups. We have been brainstorming ideas of all the natural disasters all over the world and how people can get a type of message that a disaster is going to happen.

In writing we have been researching on a specific type of species of an Asian animal and we are going to write about it next week. For the past week we have been talking about single use plastic and that it is destroying the world. We also have been typing up our Citizenship Portfolio Criteria’s and so far, we have done three out of the nine required.

With Ms Balogh on the laptops, we have been researching our animals for writing our report and we have been researching for the natural disaster project we will be doing during Digital Technology lessons. We have also been leaning typing and coding. During ICT lessons, we have been playing a game call tower of treasure that makes sure our passwords are secure.

This only a snapshot of what we have done so far this term. We cannot wait to see what there is to come.

Regards

The Press
